Description
The Blimp by RØDE Microphones features the Rycote Lyre Suspension System, the Blimp provides ultimate microphone suspension and isolation. Heavy-Duty Mogami cable is housed inside the grip which splits via a junction box to a highly-flexible thin cable inside the Blimp. It attaches to any standard boom pole via a 3/8″ thread attachment at the base. You may remove the handle when the Blimp is being used primarily on a boom pole to reduce weight.
The Dead Wombat Windshield, Caring Brush, and Tail/Patch Cable are included.
Compatible with the RØDE NTG1, NTG2, NTG3, NTG4 and NTG4+ Microphones, as well as any other shotgun microphone up to 325mm ( 12 3/4″ ) in length and 19-22mm.

The Blimp Extension by RØDE Microphones is an add-on component kit for the RØDE Blimp Windshield System, which allows the use of long shotgun microphones, including the RØDE NTG8 and any other shotgun with a barrel length of up to 600mm.
This kit includes a 10.1″ (256mm) blimp extension piece, two sets of rigid silicone bands, extra long DeadWombat Fur Windshield and Furry Brush.
**NOTE: Original Blimp is required to use this product – This product is not currently compatible with the 2014 RØDE Blimp**
